RETURN POLICY

If you are not completely satisfied with your purchase, we accept returns on select items within 14 days of receipt. Items must be postmarked by the 14th day to be eligible for a refund.

Please note all original shipping charges are non-refundable and return shipping costs are the responsibility of the buyer. We recommend all returns be sent insured and with tracking as we cannot be held responsible for lost or damaged products. It is the responsibility of the buyer to ensure the item is adequately packaged for return. Vee Merklen Inc cannot accept responsibility for any packages lost, stolen or damaged in transit. Once we receive your item, we will process your return and a refund will be issued to either your original payment method or gift card. You will receive an email confirmation once your return has been accepted and your refund will be processed within 5-7 business days of receipt. A 20% restocking fee applies to any return.

Certain types of items cannot be returned, like perishable goods (such as food, flowers, or plants), custom products (such as special orders or personalized items), and personal care goods (such as beauty products). We also do not accept returns for hazardous materials, flammable liquids, or gases. Please get in touch if you have questions or concerns about your specific item.

All items must be in new, unused condition with any tags still attached and packing intact. Returns that are damaged, soiled or altered may not be accepted and sent back to the customer.

All custom orders, made to order items, furniture, artwork, sale items, gift cards, and lighting are final sale and cannot be returned.

In the instance a non-returnable or sale item is approved for a return, a credit will be issued minus a 20% restocking fee. All credits are issued in the form of an electronic gift card.

RETURN PROCESS

The following steps outline the returns process. The return process takes approximately 4-6 weeks depending on where the customer is located:

  • To get started email tony@veemerklen.comto notify us of return request. We will approve/deny the request within 3-5 business days.
  • To complete your return, we require a receipt or proof of purchase. 
  • Once we receive the item, we will inspect it and then issue a refund to your card (minus 20% restocking fee and shipping).
  • Refunds can take 5-7 business days to appear on your account. If you haven’t received a refund yet, first check your bank account again. Then contact your credit card company, it may take some time before your refund is officially posted. If you’ve done all of this and you still have not received your refund, please contact us at tony@veemerklen.com.
  • There are certain situations where only partial refunds are granted (if applicable). Any item not in its original condition, is damaged or missing parts for reasons not due to our error. 
  • Exchanges (if applicable). We only replace items if they are defective or damaged. If you need to exchange a product for the same item, send us an email at tony@veemerklen.com. Depending on where you live, the time it may take for your exchanged product to reach you, may vary.

DAMAGED ITEMS

Damages to the merchandise while in transit are rare, but occasionally do happen. Should your piece arrive damaged, we will do our very best to have a replacement shipped out to you or have your piece repaired locally. 

Please fully inspect your furniture at the time of delivery and note any damage or defect within 48 hours of receipt, so that we may file a claim with our third party delivery company. Make sure to take photos of the damage to share with us right away, and have the delivery team take photos as well. Please note any damages on the Proof of Delivery paperwork, and take a photo of that paper to share with us. Any damage that is not documented on the day of delivery will not be eligible for a damages claim by our third party shipping company. If you instruct the delivery team to leave your order at the door in the case that you cannot be home, Vee Merklen Inc nor the third party shipping company can be liable for any damages.

If you refuse your furniture delivery due to damage, the piece will be brought back to the local delivery terminal. If you refuse the order, please take photos of the damage and delivery paperwork to send to us. We will then review and evaluate the condition of the piece. Please note, the claims process for damaged items takes 2-3 months to finalize, and our team will work hard to have a replacement issued or item repaired as soon as possible.

If your item arrives damaged please email us at  tony@veemerklen.com with photos of the damage, and a photo of the delivery paperwork noting the damage. In your email, be sure to include as much detail about the delivery as possible, as well as the condition of the item. 

If you choose to ship your items with a carrier or freight forwarder outside of our network, Vee Merklen Inc cannot be held liable for any damages.
